Case 1: Your machine has a discrete graphics card

Click Start > Control Panel > NVIDIA Control Panel.
 
In the section 3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings, select the Program Settings tab
In the Select a program to customize: item list, select Adobe Photoshop (photoshop.exe)
Next in the list Choose your preferred graphics processor for this program:, select High-performance NVIDIA processor
Note in NVIDIA Control Panel set to use integrated graphics Integrated graphics is implicit mode
Remember to restart Adobe Photoshop if it is running.
Go to Adobe Photoshop, select Edit > Preference > Performance… you will see the VIDIA GPU in the list instead of Intel HD Graphics.
